We have all been cast aside at one point in our lives.Couple that feeling of abandonment with real physical pain, and it is easy to see why so many were and are desperate for an intervention by one that has authority over all.  “Speak and he can be healed.”  Please join us this week and discover the authority that Christ has over all.

Join us this coming Sunday as we look to Matthew 8:1-17  See you at 10!

For the very first time, Beth has written a book that aligns with our simulcast theme for September! Beth wrote the book with the simulcast participants in mind and wanted to provide a more lasting resource for those that desire to walk forward in the Bible concept studied during the simulcast!

Thirty years in the making, Audacious is a deep dive into the message that has compelled Beth Moore to serve women around the globe.  Glancing over the years of ministry behind her and strengthening her resolve to the call before her, she came to the realization that her vision for women was incomplete.  It lacked something they were aching for.  Something Jesus was longing for.  Beth identifies that missing link by digging through Scripture, unearthing life experiences, and spotlighting a turning point with the capacity to infuse any life with holy passion and purpose.  What was missing?  Well, let’s just say, it’s audacious and it’s for all of us.  And it’s the path to the life you were born to live.

Publication date is November 1st, but Audacious is available as an exclusive pre-release for purchase by simulcast participants.  Please note that the book is not required for participation nor is it included in the purchase of your simulcast.

Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of this church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Church members are involved in a variety of ministries.  You can become involved too!

Mission Outreach

Rolling Hills Church is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the world. We are active in  supporting these missionaries with our money and with our prayers. And we look forward to sending some of our own on either short-term or long-term mission opportunities.  We also look for opportunities to serve within our own community.  It is our desire to see the presence of God grow in the eastern suburbs of Pittsburgh and that we may be used by God to do so.

Music & Drama

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music and drama ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists.  Still others get involved in drama. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of our church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.

Ushers

The usher team at our church fills an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, guiding traffic, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, unlocking doors, locking doors, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. The usher team is a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life.

Media & Technology

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of this church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. All of our weekly sermons are uploaded to our website in video and audio formats. We also maintain an active Facebook and Twitter feed for additional church communication.

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Our Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Sunday, during the morning service, a team of volunteers is praying for the ministry of the Word. Throughout the week, volunteers from our Prayer Warriors team pray for their pastor, a list of church members, any special requests, and missionary prayer needs. Each Wednesday, the church comes together for a special time of prayer and Bible study.

2 Timothy 2:15

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.

How Do I Meet People?

Our church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members and family members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at this church.

Small Group

Often, small groups of people are better able to interact and learn about a topic than larger groups are. For that reason, our church has small Bible studies held here in the church building. The size of the group is anywhere from six to twelve people. At a time designated by your group leader you can participate in the small group study.

Children’s Ministry

Each Sunday morning and Tuesday night, children get to participate in their own classes. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every child gets to participate and learn. Each of the class teachers is carefully screened and thoroughly trained in children’s instruction.

Women’s Group

Our women’s groups give the ladies in our church family special times of interaction. Our women’s groups are times of Bible study, prayer (and, of course, food). These groups provide a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the women in the church.

Men’s Group

Accountability among men is an act of integrity. Accountability is designed to protect, encourage, and develop men of all ages. There are a number of ways that the men of our church can get involved.  Once a month, we have a men’s breakfast/Bible study.  This group meets opn the first Saturday of the month at 9 am at the church.  There are also various work days that are regularly scheduled throughout the year.

Senior Group

Once you get past fifty, the fun has just begun. Whether retired, just plain tired, or active as ever, the over-50 group of Rolling Hills provides refreshment, ministry, and times of valuable interaction. You can look to our calendar for upcoming events.

Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their labor:
10 If either of them falls down,
one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls
and has no one to help them up.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
